“For her lecture at AMOA-Arthouse, Irene Hofmann will speak about the upcoming exhibition More Real? Art in the Age of Truthiness. This large-scale exhibition will explore our shifting experience of reality today. With an international, intergenerational roster of artists, several newly-commissioned works, an architectural intervention by Los Angeles-based architect and designer Greg Lynn, More Real? will be one of the most ambitious exhibitions presented at SITE in recent history.
Irene Hofmann is SITE Santa Fe’s Phillips Director and Chief Curator. She joined SITE in October 2010 after serving as Executive Director and Curator of the Contemporary Museum in Baltimore for nearly five years. In addition to her most recent position in Baltimore, she has held positions at the Orange County Museum of Art in Newport Beach, California; Cranbrook Art Museum in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; the Art Institute of Chicago; the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York.”
