Metal smith artist April Wood discusses her solo exhibition New Works: April Wood, on view at Laguna Gloria. The exhibition showcases her investigations into the complex relationship between the female body and food through material craft. The featured works take her developing sculptural project Hunger Series into the realm of installation. Wood is a Texas native based in Baltimore, MD. She received her BFA from Texas State, San Marcos and her MFA from Towson University.
